Warhammer: End Times Vermintide Xbox One Gameplay Footage Released

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide released successfully on PC at the end of last year, and now Fatshark are bringing the game to Xbox One and Playstation 4.

The game is currently being showcased at GDC 2016, and Eurogamer managed to get a hands-on preview while capturing the footage of the Vermintide Xbox One version along the way. The video also includes an interview with a gameplay designer on Fatshark who answers plenty of questions about the upcoming port to consoles.

The game will feature an overhaul of the UI in order to satisfy the controller, and Fatshark confirmed that they are not done with updating the game just because it is releasing for consoles. They want to improve the game for “as long as people are playing it”.

Tagged as a co-operative shooter, the title will not feature any PvP gameplay. When asked about the recent news of cross-network online play, the developer seemed keen to incorporate the feature as long as it is actually made available to them at some point.

This is the only real footage of the Xbox One version of the game that’s been made publicly available so far, as Eurogamer are the first guys outside of the studio to actually play it.

Vermintide isn’t the only Warhammer game releasing this year, as the popular real-time strategy series Total War is collaborating with the original fantasy tabletop board game to create Total War: Warhammer that will be releasing in the next couple of months despite a short delay.
