New Hitman Patch Causing Problems on Playstation 4

Hitman Episode 3

There are plenty of reports of the new Hitman patch causing problems for those playing the episodic stealth-based adventure on Playstation 4.

For a start some players have reported having troubles connecting to the game at all after installing the update, therefore completely stripping them of any gameplay at all.

Furthermore there is now a presence of an annoying heads-up display (HUD) for weapons that is impossible to remove.

Lastly, so far, the patch has removed certain pre-order bonuses for players including the Blood Money Pack and the Requiem Pack. The Blood Money pack includes a selection of items inspired by the 2006 Hitman: Blood Money, whereas the Requiem Pack includes the Requiem Legacy white suit, Blood Money shirt, tie and gloves, silenced ICA-19 chrome gun, and a white rubber duck explosive.

A Reddit user has come up with the following workaround, although we can’t confirm how viable the solution is but it’s worth a go if you are having problems:

So I was just screwing around on the ps store website and checked my download queue. It said that the requiem stuff had a downloading error even though they worked yesterday. I hit download and went to my ps4 and sure enough, they show up now. Edit: changed list to queue

Thanks to Gamepur for the heads-up with that one.

IO Interactive are aware of the persistent problems and are working on a solution right now.

If you are yet to buy Hitman (on any system) then here’s a few reasons why you shouldn’t do it just yet, on top of the most recent Hitman patch causing problems. If you are waiting for the disc-based version anyway then I’m afraid you will have to wait a bit longer now as the full release has been delayed into 2017.
