The Division Sales Beat Gran Turismo 4’s 11 Years Old Record
The Division is not only the biggest release in Ubisoft’s 30 year old history but it is breaking other industry records as well. According to the latest stats from the UK, The Division sales broke Gran Turismo 4’s 11 year old record.
The Division breaks an 11 year record held by Gran Turismo 4 released in 2005, outselling any other title released in the first three months of the year.
It is also Ubisoft’s biggest ever launch of a Tom Clancy title, sitting behind Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed III as their third largest launch of all time
Ubisoft and its titles are sitting comfortably at number 1, 2 of UK sales chart. Here’s how things look for the time being:
- Tom Clancy’s The Division
- Far Cry Primal
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
- FIFA 16
- Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
- Lego Marvel Avengers
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Forza Motorsport 6
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
- Rainbow Six: Siege
The Division is one of the biggest releases of the decade. Players are having a blast but it is only a matter of time before players run out of things to do. It takes around 15 hours to max out your character so Ubisoft needs to keep adding more content or risk Destiny like complaints.
On a related note, The Division got a new update earlier that disabled trained talent. Head over here to read up more about the latest update.
