Sea of Thieve Interview

Rare Ltd are currently developing their new Pirate adventure for Xbox One and PC, and the English developers are giving one fan the chance to visit the legendary studios in an all-expense paid trip to play Sea of Thieves before anyone else outside the studio.

Sea of Thieves involves a heavy use of user-generated content and is scheduled to release at some point in 2016. Have a look at what Microsoft executive Aaron Greenberg thinks of the game that will feature plenty of first-person gameplay.

Promoting the competition via the pretty amusing video below, Rare are offering to pay for the flights and accommodation of one lucky winner no matter where in the World they happen to hail from. You will get to meet the whole team and even enjoy the delicious English cuisine (their words, not mine).

Here’s the video:

So to enter the competition you must express your excitement for the game in whichever way you see fit, as long as it’s through a still image or a video. For more information on how to enter and what to do, take a look at the terms and conditions.

Rare have a rich history of iconic games under their belt such as Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. Last year they released a collection of their most popular games on one disc, and called it Rare Replay to celebrate their 30th anniversary. That game however is exclusive to Xbox One.

Microsoft claim that Sea of Thieves could be Rare’s best game ever, which is certainly a bold claim to make given their history. Having said that, relatively little is known about the game and we’re yet to see any real gameplay. However, whether you get to play the game or not a free trip to an iconic video games studio is not to be sniffed at.
