The Division Review Copies Not Being Sent, No Proper Reviews Before March 8
Well, that is unexpected. Conventionally, videogame developers send out early review copies of their game to reviewers so that they can give an opinion on everything there is, which is in turn used by millions of gamers when deciding whether to buy a game or not. That is not going to be the case with The Division review copies.
Ubisoft is not going to allow critics to review the game anytime before the final release on March 8, 2016.
On the official website of the developers, an update has been provided on the timing at which the servers will go live and the expected time people will start getting game reviews.
They say that “reviewers will start playing the game along with everyone else when it’s released on March 8” because for Ubisoft it is “impossible for us to populate the servers in a way that would adequately replicate playing The Division on launch day.”
The exact time at which game servers will go live is 00:01AM Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT).
Discussing reviews further, they say that you should expect the first The Division review to come in the first few days after the aforementioned launch timing:
We anticipate there may be some impressions posted online within the first few days of launch that were based on experiences with The Division Beta, and we look forward to seeing streams, videos, and opinions that provide accounts of final, in-game conditions.
However, the game’s preload will be unlocked today i.e. Thursday, March 3 at 6PM CET for PC users using Uplay and Steam and March 6 at 00:01AM for PlayStation 4 users.
