Rocket League Championship Series Announced, Registrations From march 25!
Well, you wanted it and you have got it. The first Rocket League Championship Series has been announced by Psyonix and Twitch. The event is going to be open to PS4 and Steam users both and will have a prize pool of $75,000.
The whole event is going to last three months that will be divided into three periods; the first two being the Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2 after which there will a Time Off period that will lead to the Live Finals.
For both the qualifiers, the first week will be the Open Qualifier stage, followed by a two week long Group Stage before the Online Finals that will take another week.
As far as the $75000 prize pool is concerned, it is divided among the Qualifiers’ Online Finals and the Live International Finals. They have dedicated $10,000 for each of the Online Finals and the remaining $55,000 for the Grand Finales.
Grab two friends and form a three-person team, then register starting March 25 to compete in the first season of the Rocket League Championship Series! Each RLCS season will span three months and feature teams from all over North America and Europe. The top-four teams in each region will be invited to compete at a live International Finals event for a shot at glory and their piece of the $75,000 prize pool!
Needless to say, Twitch is going to manage the operations and get to be the exclusive broadcasting platform for the event.
