Mortal Kombat X Patch 1.12 arrives on consoles today to prepare for the release of new characters. Unfortunately for PC users these characters won’t be arriving, yet another thing to annoy fans on that platform.

The details on the patch’s release were revealed on Reddit, which stated that the download size for the file should be around 6 to 7GB if you’ve been keeping up to date with the patches. If you do download the patch, don’t panic if the new characters are greyed out, that is because they’ve not been released yet:

“For those who those who have preloaded the DLC, they are greyed out until the unlock time in your region. For example, here in California, that unlock time is 9 pm on Monday. The Pit, stage fatalities, balance changes, new netcode, new trophies/achievements, and Medieval Pack are all ready to go.

The Kosplay Pack, the Apocalypse Pack, and the four new characters are not yet available. Again, wait for the unlock time.”

When the Mortal Kombat X Patch 1.12 arrives to your console, it should make the game ready for the Kombat Pack 2 characters. This also coincides with the release of Mortal Kombat XL. These are the releases that have annoyed PC fans, especially with the way that Warner Bros. have handled the game on that platform.

One of their less than impressive releases, it would be hoped that work would be done to make the situation better for PC users. Holding back characters this way and not releasing Mortal Kombat XL, is exactly the opposite of what you would expect.

When the Mortal Kombat X Patch 1.12 arrives, will you be going back to the game? Are you looking forward to the arrival of the Kombat Pack 2 or are you an annoyed PC gamer? Let us know in the comments section below.
