Last Day for the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack on Steam
Today is the last day for the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack on Steam. Those who want to buy it should make sure they get it now before it is removed from the Steam store.
The Starter Pack is still available at the time of writing, but it is expected to be removed after today. Don’t worry if you’ve bought it, it won’t suddenly disappear from your library. This has been confirmed on the Activision Support FAQ:
“If I buy the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer Starter Pack, can I play the Starter Pack after the sale period is over on Steam?
Yes, you can continue to enjoy the Multiplayer Starter Pack like any other game you purchase on Steam.”
This should remove any confusion over what will happen once the offer of this stripped down version of the game has ended. This would obviously be a worry on the last day for the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack offer.
For those who have already got to level 55 during the Double XP weekend though, don’t expect to be able to reset that level. The point of the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack is to give the players a chance to try the game, and continue to play it if they want. To enjoy the perks of using Prestige, or even resetting the levels for the characters though this is saved for the owners of the full game.
This is the reason why there will be a push for users to upgrade their game and enjoy the “full” experience. Whether they’ll choose to do that is another matter though, especially if the it does not live up to expectations.
With this being the last day for the Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Starter Pack, will you be buying it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
