ARK has Beavers! Latest Patch Adds New Furry Addition to Game
ARK has beavers, giant ones that once tamed are ridable. This is the latest creature to be added to the game.
While the game has had its fair share of dinosaurs, the giant beavers that have been set free into the world will be a new challenge:
“As is typical for beavers, they build dams as habitats, but the larger creatures on the island have a tendency to trample them. As a result, finding unsullied dams in the wild is quite rare. The creature naturally gathers wood extremely efficiently, far more than most species on the island. It’s not the strongest creature, so it can only carry limited amounts, however with its fantastic chisel-shaped teeth, survivors find it quite the handy mount to use for crafting on the go!”
If you are going to try and befriend these creatures make sure you are at a suitably high level, or them may make you pay for your mistake. Nothing more embarrassing than discovering that ARK has beavers, then to find they destroy you before heading back to build their dams.
Along with the beavers, patch 236 which went live yesterday will add handcuffs that will be available to use on other survivors. There are also a few other changes that will improve client and server side performance for the game.
With the addition of the new creatures, this is sure to keep layers invested in the game. The Xbox One release has proven popular, pulling in more gamers into trying their hand at survival, so the future is definitely interesting for this game.
