How to Fix Street Fighter 5 Crashes, Errors, Server Issues, Black Screen, Controls

How to fix Street Fighter 5 PC errors, crashes, crash to desktop, server errors, black screen issue, control issues and other related problems.

Even if you don’t like the fighting genre, you must have heard of “Street Fighter”. The fighting franchise has fans in almost every corner of the world. Street Fighter IV entertained fans for a long time and now, everyone was waiting for Street Fighter 5 to come out.

The game had some issues during the beta and it was expected to be fixed with the full release. However, some of those issues are still present for some users and then there are the server/connectivity issues users have been facing since launch.

So although the game managed to secure descent reviews, availability wise, Capcom isn’t painting a good picture. If you are looking for a fix for any issue, you can refer to the following listing.

#1 Street Fighter 5 Server Status/Can’t Connect
Although it shouldn’t have happened, but Street Fighter 5 is suffering from launch syndrome and servers aren’t in a good shape. They are working on it though so you may want to check their twitter for latest updates.

#2 Street Fighter 5 Connectivity Issues
First, make sure that the game servers are live. If that’s not an issue, you should make sure that your game is not being blocked by your antivirus/security tool. You may also want to check that these ports aren’t blocked if you are behind a router.

#3 Street Fighter 5 Game Crashes to Desktop
It seems like that Windows 10 users are experiencing these random crashes more. There are a few things you can try to fix the issue.

First, make sure that you have the latest GPU drivers installed. If that’s not the issue, try turning off background utilities like your antivirus etc. Still no luck? Try running the game in compatibility mode.

Also, if you have any touch screen device attached with your system (or any other accessory), try disconnecting it.

#4 Street Fighter 5 Singleplayer Disconnection Issue
Some users have reported that if they loose connection even if they are playing singleplayer, they are moved to the main menu causing them to loose the current progress.

With current server status, this issue can be a real pain but as the connectivity issues get sorted out, patience is all we have.

#5 Street Fighter 5 Game Won’t Launch (0xc000001d Error)
It’s a generic issue that can occur due to multiple reasons. So general troubleshooting can help you fix this problem. Just don’t download anything and only try the workarounds mentioned.

#6 Street Fighter 5 Black Screen Fix
By default, the game starts up in 1080p. So if you don’t have a monitor that supports the resolution, it will give you black screen. You can try running the game in windowed mode and then change resolution.

If that doesn’t work, you might have to use your dedicated GPU to run the game in windowed mode and change the resolution before switching back to your primary GPU.

#7 Street Fighter 5 Can’t Connect Error 2100d
As mentioned in #1, if you are facing this error code, that’s most probably due to servers not being available and you really can’t do much instead of waiting. Try connecting again after the server status is live and you should be fine.

#8 Street Fighter 5 UE4-KiwiGame has Crashed
The error was there in the beta. If you are still getting it, you should try validating your game files. Deleting the KiwiGame folder and then validating files can also help resolving the issue.

#9 Street Fighter 5 Fight Stick Tweaks
If you own a controller or a fight stick that’s not supported by default, you can use this emulator to make it work. You need to paste the files in RAR at SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/StreetFighterV/StreetFighterV/Binaries/Win64.
