Twitch Streamer Completes the World’s First Dark Souls 2 No-Hit Playthrough
A Twitch streamer who goes by the name ‘TheHappyHobbit’ recently completed the world’s first Dark Souls 2 no-hit run.
For the purpose of the run; the streamer neither took any hit from enemies nor blocked any hits using a shield. However, do note that falling damage and poison damage do not really count as ‘hits’ unless caused poison darts and similar attacks. While parries were allowed, they were only used on Gwyn.
In addition to this, bow attacks were used, but not magic. Throughout the entire run, none of the speedrunning glitches (including duping, tumblebuffing, and moveset swapping) were used. As for mods, aside from a couple of visual mods such as DSFix and some texture replacement; none other mods were used.
Lastly, no Duke Skip was used, save/quit were not used to avoid fall damage, but only to reset boss/enemy encounters. The entire run took about 4.5 hours to complete without any deaths whatsoever! Since the YouTube version is not up as of this instant; you can view the Dark Souls 2 Twitch broadcast above and amaze yourself!
Dark Souls III, on the other hand, is scheduled to release on Apr. 12, 2016 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
