Rocket League v1.12

PlayStation have revealed the PlayStation Store Charts for January, and as always they make for interesting reading. What is even more interesting is the different between the North American and European charts.

Below is the North American PlayStation Store Chart:

  1. Minecraft: PS4 Edition
  2. Rocket League
  3. Grand Theft Auto 5
  4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  5. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
  6. inFAMOUS Second Son
  7. Dragon Age: Inquisition
  8. The Witness
  9. Far Cry 4
  10. Rainbow Six Siege

Here is the European PlayStation Store Chart:

  1. Rocket League
  2. Star Wars Battlefront
  3. Need for Speed
  4. FIFA 16
  5. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  6. Far Cry 4
  7. Minecraft: PS4 Edition
  8. Grand Theft Auto 5
  9. Bloodborne
  10. Resident Evil 0

As you can see, Rocket League is high up on the table for both regions, while Minecraft appears to be more popular in America than it is in Europe. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 remains strong, which is no surprise.

A bigger difference is the inclusion of Star Wars Battlefront and Need for Speed in the European list. These don’t appear in the American top 10, though they seem to find Grand Theft Auto 5 more popular than their European friends.

We do have to remember that these sales can sometimes be influenced by discounts that can differ between regions. This may be why some older titles appear in one top 10, but not the other. The fact that there are enough differences to be noticeable makes for interesting reading though.
