If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your credit card information on PlayStation Store, you’re not the only one. So for such folks, Sony has introduced a brand new payment method for PlayStation users.

Users can now use Paysafecard as a payment option for PlayStation Store on PC, tablets, smartphones and PlayStation 4. The service is available in 19 countries for the time being including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.

Paysafecard is one of the most secure and established payment methods for online games and other products and services. Paysafecard is available in 42 countries across the globe. With time, it may expand its number of countries for PlayStation users.

You will need a unique 16-digit PIN to pay (or to top-up the personal “my paysafecard” account) that comes with each paysafecard voucher.

Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard, said:

Partnering with the giants of the digital world is one of our primary goals, which is why I am so pleased by this development. It also serves as recognition of our vision and of our product as a secure and convenient payment method and will make it possible for millions of customers to pay with paysafecard.

Users can now top-up their wallet via their paysafecard account and safely pay for digital games and other content they purchase on PlayStation Store.
