Detective Pikachu Rumoured to be An Episodic Game
Detective Pikachu has set the Internet alight with anticipation, and this is down to the style of the game, which is unlike other Pokemon titles. A new rumour is hinting at the fact that the game could be an episodic adventure with more to come.
Based on a rumour reported by My Nintendo News it appears that the game that will be available on the 3DS eStore on February 3 in Japan there are hints of a possible continuation to the story. Be aware that the following description features spoilers, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know.
It appears that the game, which is around 5 hours in length will end with Mewtwo popping up and a “To Be Continued” message being displayed to the player. The fact that the game also features the sub title “birth” also gives a hint that more adventures are being planned. The way people have reacted to a Sherlock Holmes style Pikachu does appear to hint that this may be what fans want.
The roots of Detective Pikachu can be traced all the back a few years ago to a technical demo, though not much was revealed after that. It looks like we now finally see what the game was, and by the looks of it, the wait may have been worth it.
It will be interesting to see just how popular Detective Pikachu not only as a game, but also as a character will become. If it can live up to the interest that it has garnered from fans, then this may be a popular title.
