While some people may be playing The Division Closed Beta this weekend, that doesn’t mean that other games aren’t fighting for your interest. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be offering double XP on Multiplayer and Zombies.

With the release of The Awakening DLC only days away on the PlayStation 4 (with other platforms having to wait around 30 days to get it) Treyarch and Electronic Arts are in celebratory mood and are offering the extra XP:

This is the chance for those in the need for some levelling-up to get playing and to grind away for a few hours. Even if the DLC is only coming to Playstation 4, this doesn’t mean that the other players can’t take advantage of this weekend. If anything it will be a welcome move to keep them happy.

The start of the Double XP weekend will be 10am PST, with it ending Monday, again at 10am PST. It will be interesting to see if this has an effect on the servers while this weekend event is taking place, and what impact it will have on the game. Which will be more popular though, the regular multiplay or the Zombies?

After the Double XP Weekend has ended this will leave us with a day to prepare for The Awakening. Those who have a season pass will be able to download it for free (as part of the pass), while others will have to purchase it.
