WWE 2K16 Future Stars DLC Breaks Game; 2K is Fixing It
Guess what, 2K released the new WWE 2K16 Future Stars DLC pack and the first thing it did was to break the game for a large number of people! According to widespread complaints, the DLC apparently messes up the save files for the Universe Mode, which is basically the main game mode in 2K16.
People who have downloaded the expansion pack have mostly faced the same problem and now, we have an official word on the matter.
Bryan Vore, the Social Media and Community Manager for WWE Games, took to the official forums of the game to acknowledge the bug. He clarified that the bug was affecting the current gen of consoles only but suggested that PS4 and Xbox One users refrain from downloading the new DLC until further notice.
We’re aware of an issue some users are experiencing with Universe Mode save data connected to the Future Stars Pack DLC. After initial investigation, we’ve found this issue only affects PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users will not experience this issue. If you are an active Universe Mode player on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we recommend waiting to download the Future Stars Pack until we fully investigate and resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience.
Some other people have also complained that the WWE 2K16 Future Stars DLC pack is not even loading on their side; American PSN accounts have faced this issue primarily, but the developers are working to fix this as well.
Other issues being faced by PS4 users include the prompt to pay for the said DLC even though they have bought the DLC pack. Vore says they are collaborating with Sony on this as we speak.
Have you faced any other issuees in the game?
