Why You Should Play Winning Putt, Bandai Namco’s Golf MMO
Alongside the major releases that they are prepping, another Bandai Namco game has also slipped on to the beta testing fields recently. The game is called Winning Putt and as the name suggests, it is a golfing game but with a new take on it.
Bandai Namco has actually turned the sport into a PC based MMO game by allowing you to compete against a number of other players from around the globe. The game takes a step ahead of the sport by delivering “immersive gameplay only imaginable in a virtual world.”
Since it is not the kind of a game they are known for, BNE has partnered with Webzen Onnet who in words of Joon Hwang, Director of Digital Games at BNEA, has “has over a decade’s worth of experience in creating fun and realistic golfing experiences.”
Winning Putt is a game that takes golfing to another level as far as video games are concerned as you are promised the greatest level of control on everything that is happening in the game.
They call it the ultimate multiplayer sports game where progression, rewards and customization are key. Looks, playstyle, power, accuracy, clubs, accessories and clothing items are all customizable as well as upgradable. Talking of progression, the developers say:
With upgraded gear, characters gain new abilities, such as the capability to see the wind, sense the slope of a green and add boosts to their swing to overcome obstacles on the course. Gamers can further their career by competing in tournaments and even qualify for the annual grand championship for the ultimate bragging rights.
All this is in addition to the fact that Winning Putt is a free to play title.
