Far Cry Primal Map Size Revealed

By   /   Jan 27, 2016

As with all open world games one of the questions about Far Cry Primal is how big will the map be? This may have been answered, though there seems to be some assumptions made that may not be true.

In the video above you see GamesRadar take a look at the map of the game and come to the conclusion that it has a pretty big area which you’ll be exploring. Based on some assumptions and observations they make about the map they come to the conclusion that it will take about 15 minutes to walk from one end to the other. To go around the edges, this may take over an hour.

As is mentioned in the video though some of the areas won’t be available and some areas are only accessible from certain routes. The fact that animals such as sabre-toothed tigers and mammoths can be used to travel will also change the amount of time taken. Fast track is also available for those who don’t want to take in the nature around them. To use this function though you’ll need to have explored the area first.

Interestingly if you watch the video the answer to “does Far Cry Primal have towers to climb?” appears to have been answered with a “kind of.” In the video you see the owl visit a bonfire that is lit alight to show that you have arrived in that area. This means that we are safe in the knowledge that this is very much a “Ubisoft game.”
