Xbox is adding new features to the upcoming Xbox update with people on the Preview Program being able to test them out. Today Major Nelson revealed a sneak peek as to how an update to the pins will work.

This update to pins on the Xbox One Dashboard will allow you to move your pins around. The preview of this feature has been revealed by Major Nelson in a Tweet:

This is one of the new features that are coming to the Xbox One, with others including a Gamescore Leaderboard, see who is in a party, Activity Feed update, joinable Twitch broadcasts, improved suggested friends, and ability to hide some games in your game list.

The description of the new pin feature is as follows:

“Re-arrange Pins on Home and access them offline: Many of you have told us that you want Pins on your Xbox One Home to be easier to organize. In Preview, you will now be able to rearrange individual pins. We also made Pins accessible for launching when you are offline.”

This will obviously be popular for people who want easier access to some items on their Dashboard, and to move other less important ones to a less visible place. While there may be bigger updates on the list which are more interesting, it is still a nice to have feature that should improve the Xbox One experience.
