Will Destiny Ammo Packs Really Be Sold for Real Money?
Back in October 2015 Bungie announced that they were bringing microtransactions to the game, whether you agree or not, the developers also think that the paid expansions and the microtransactions are now co-existing very well within the game.
Since that is true, Bungie is now taking the microtransactions up another notch by introducing Destiny Ammo packs that will be purchasable for real money.
This has not been confirmed by the developers themselves, but it looks like someone inside the circles has been able to leak that users will be able to spend in-game Silver on the ammo packs, some of which are highly sought after.
I can already imagine people holding their money to throw at the screens just upon hearing the name of Heavy Ammo Synthesis. However, keep in mind that there are other ways of getting that i.e. you could buy it from Xur Agent of the Nine or Banshee-44.
On the flipside, however, if you don’t wish to toil for the Glimmer or the Strange Coins or the Ether Seeds needed, the upcoming feature might just be the thing for you.
So far we are not sure when the Destiny ammo packs microtransactions will be added to the game or what price they will have. Nonetheless, here’s a breakdown of how expensive the Silver can get:
- 500 Silver – $4.99/£3.99/€4.99
- 1000 Silver (+100 bonus Silver) – $9.99/£7.99/€9.99
- 2000 Silver (+300 bonus Silver) – $19.99/£15.99/€19.99
- 5,000 Silver (+800 Silver) – $49.99/£39.99/€49.99
In parallel news, Bungie has confirmed that new privacy options are coming to Bungie.net, these will allow you too keep your information safe from anonymous onlookers.
