Destiny 2 Won’t be Releasing in September 2016

Destiny: The Collection

While there are no official details on Destiny 2, there are plenty of rumours about when it will be coming. It has also now been revealed that if it does come this year it won’t be coming until after September.

Destiny 2 is a game that we assume is coming, especially with Bungie’s 10 year plan, but the problem is we don’t know much about these plans. If you are a player who has put in enough hours, you’ll also know that Destiny has a problem right now, nothing much is happening.

If you’ve made it to the end of The Taken King you can still redo Raids, you can go on patrols and of course you have the Crucible. With no new meatier content drops coming in the form of DLC though it can be argued that fans are being left wanting.

If Destiny 2 is coming, then hopefully it will be in 2016. Kotaku are reporting that the September release of Destiny 2 (the believed release window for the game) will not be met. This means all we’ll have in terms of new content are events like the upcoming Valentine’s Day event that was announced yesterday.

With no official details as to if Destiny 2 is even being developed, we are still waiting for some details as to when it may come. No doubt we’ll hear something at a big event like E3 which would be the perfect place to make the big reveal.

If Destiny 2 is being delayed though it is clear that Destiny will need to provide some more interesting Raids, or even a more complex event to keep people invested.
