After Goat Simulator We Now Have Cardboard Box Simulator Called Unbox
If you thought Goat Simulator was a weird game, you will find Unbox ridiculous yet completely awesome. Developed using Unreal Engine 4 the game was announced for PC, but is now heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.
You can see what the game is all about in a video trailer above.
Unbox was created during the December UE4 Game Jam and inspired by the games we played and loved while growing up. From the competitive and frenetic action of Goldeneye to the expansive exploration of Super Mario 64, there are threads of old school design woven throughout Unbox. Add in some contemporary influences from titles such as Katamari Damacy, Marble Blast Ultra, Noby Noby Boy and you get a game like nothing else…
In Unbox, players will get to experience many different worlds including Islands, Mountains, “Really Big Oil Rigs?!”
We also have Challenges such as Race against the clock and different puzzles. You will have to Defeat burly bosses and are free to discover the most hidden of easter eggs.
Like mentioned above, this is a Physics based game where players will have fun by Knocking things over, “blow things up, cause chaos all around.”
Unbox doesn’t have online multiplayer but developers are working on local multiplayer. Up to four players can play the game with local multiplayer and developers intent to support Unbox with post-release content.
For PC, developers are targeting a May release and presumably the game will launch during the same timeframe on consoles.
