Yesterday, we reported that with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Naughty Dog is looking to conclude Nathan Drake saga and confirmed that there will be no more sequels with Nathan Drake as the central protagonist. However, the studio also confirmed that the final decision lies with Sony Computer Entertainment and continuing the franchise with another lead character or a prequel still remains a possibility:
Whether that’s it for Uncharted? I don’t know. At the end of the day Sony owns Uncharted and they can do whatever they want. But with the end of this story it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake. Maybe there’ll be a prequel, maybe it will be a different character – I don’t know. But this is the end for Nathan Drake.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled to release on Apr. 26, 2016 exclusively on Playstation 4.
