ARK: Survival Evolved Getting Split-Screen Multiplayer on Xbox One
The Xbox One version of ARK: Survival Evolved is seeing plenty of success at the moment, and a new patch may catch the interest of even more players. Get ready for some split-screen dinosaur action.
In the announcement for the next update to the game it was revealed that local multiplayer is going to be added. Though there is no ETA on when it will arrive:
Upcoming Version v731.0
SPLIT-SCREEN MULTIPLAYER for both Online and Local Play.
[MORE NOTES TO COME]
While this doesn’t reveal much more about what else is coming to the game we can expect some of the PC updates to make their way to the Xbox One. Obviously by the fact they are telling us split-screen is coming, this is the big news for this release.
Many people will be looking for performance boosts to the game, as this is one issue with the preview version of the game. The popularity though shows that it has been welcomed onto consoles quite well.
It will be interesting to see if the PC version of the game will get local multiplayer, or even if PC players actually want it. When it arrives to the Xbox One we’ll no doubt see feedback from both console and PC owners as to what they think of the new functionality.
We’ll have to keep an eye on the changelog and see what more updates are revealed. It is obvious that there are plenty of players waiting for new creatures and functionality, and it looks like they will be getting them.
