Dark Souls 3

A Dark Souls 3 comic book is in the work which will release near the game’s release date in April 2016.

Dubbed as simply Dark Souls, the new comic book will revolve around new stories from the world of Dark Souls and not about the story of the game so far! It will be written by George Mann from Doctor Who: The 8th Doctor and drawn by Alan Quah who worked on Godzilla: Awakening.

The first issue of the comic book will release on Apr. 06, 2016 and will be available in five different covers; two game covers, a blank stretch cover, and two other covers designed by Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini. You can check out a few of these covers in the gallery below:

Speaking of the upcoming comic book, Writer George Mann said that the rich universe of Dark Souls deserve to be in the comics and that he is honored to have the opportunity to work on them:

I’m ‘dead’ excited to be working on this new series (see what I did, there). Dark Souls has a rich, original universe that’s just begging to be explored in comics, and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to delve in and tell some new stories within it. I’ve been a fan of the games for some time, so it’s a real thrill to be able to contribute to the mythology of the Hollows and their world.

However, one thing to note here is that we do not know whether this will be an ongoing series or just a couple of limited edition comics, but we will make sure to update the article with more information.

Dark Souls 3 is scheduled to release on Apr. 12, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC whereas the first issue of the comic book will release on Apr. 06, 2016.
