With the hype around the release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Prince HD building, it looks like we have some ideas about what its Amiibo will do. As always this comes from leaks that still have to be confirmed.

In the latest issue of Famitsu (via Hokanko-alt) it has been revealed that the Wolf Link Amiibo that will work with the game will allow the player to play “Thorough Battle: Trial of the Beast”. If this is cleared while owning the “Giant Wallet”, this be given the “Bottomless Wallet”. What this means is that the wallet you have in the game will be able to carry 9999 Rupees where the Giant Wallet only carries 1000. It also appears that the Amiibo can save the health you had in this exclusive dungeon and this will have some effect on the normal dungeons of the game.

Another interesting addition is the ability to import the previous version of the game’s data up into The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Prince HD, and this too appears to use the Amiibo to do so. Whether this also works within the game itself for people who don’t own the figure is not determined yet.

It appears that the Wolf Amiibo works as a recorder of journeys, which is obviously interesting in a game like Zelda. We’ll have to see how this works of course, and if this is how the Amiibo will actually be used. With the game releasing in January I’m sure we’ll be hearing more details soon.

Will you be buying the Twilight Prince Amiibo? Let us know your thoughts on how it will work in the game in the comments section below.
