Diablo 3 Patch 2.4 is Live; Brings Game Changing New Features
Diablo 3 Patch 2.4 has been in the public test realm for quite some time, and now that Blizzard is sure that they have polished it to the fullest, a public version of the mega update has been released. While it does what most other patches have done in the past, some additional new features have been added that really are game changing!
For instance, the patch brings you expanded zones in The Sanctuary. Two of its zones are being expanded with fully explorable additions new bounties and events included. There is thee Eternal Woods with the yeti in The Ruins of Sescheron and there are the Royal Quarters in Leoric’s Quarters.
Other than that Greyhollow Island is now open to everyone with new enemies and mysterious inhabitants and a “hungry for blood” land. Diablo 3 patch 2.4 has also added new set dungeons:
Test your mettle against one of twenty four custom designed set dungeons! Each dungeon features a pre-generated, static course designed entirely around a specific class set. Don all six pieces of your chosen set and visit Leoric’s Library to obtain a clue on where these hidden trials are located. Hunt down your dungeon of choice and master it to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards for one, more, or for the truly dedicated, all of these challenges!
Then there are more empowered Rifts, you can upgrade a fourth Legendary Gem now, by spending gold on a Greater Rift. You only get bonus upgrades if you complete the rift, though.
There is a new Season Rebirth feature as well using which you can “transform a non-Seasonal hero to a fresh level 1 Season hero, maintaining their name and hours played.” However, this does not bring the gear along although you can claim them in non-Season games.
Action Combat from consoles has arrived on PC with its Massacre, Destruction, and Trap Mastery bonuses. You are looking at extra XP and buffs to speed or resources.
Last but not the least, the much talked about Diablo 3 patch 2.4 has refined the UI with a revised buff bar.

Oh and by the way, the patch was not live in Europe alongside the rest of the regions, but now it is.
