Bluepoint Games Working on Another Remaster, But Of What Game?
After the release of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Bluepoint Games are looking to the future. They are currently hiring for people to work on a new AAA game, as well as another remake.
“We are passionately at work bringing another classic to current game systems, growing our capabilities as a team and raising the bar for what fans anticipate from us.”
Which shows they are looking to work on yet another remake, and they also state that they are looking to future titles too. What is interesting about the idea of a remake is what titles are still available to bring onto the current generation consoles? One interesting idea for a remake comes from GearNuke who mention Dark Souls and this one does seem believable. With Dark Souls 3 coming in April, thoughts will go back to that game and a possible collection for the Dark Souls franchise.
Looking at previous titles that Bluepoint have worked on, they include not only the Nathan Drake Collection, but also the God of War Collection, the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall as well as ICO and Shadow of the Colussus. One of their latest titles is Gravity Rush Remastered. Just with this collection of games, they definitely have a respectable pedigree.
While we don’t know what titles the company are working on, speculation is bound to start on what remaster could be heading our way. While I would love to see the Silent Hill games remastered on the PlayStation 4, I doubt this will be the one. Stranger things have happened though.
