Sony Introduces ‘Console Exclusive’ Branding on Street Fighter V

By   /   Jan 12, 2016

There’s no doubt that Street Fighter V is one of the several hotly anticipated titles coming out this year. The game is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 and PC.

Though that doesn’t necessarily make it a PlayStation exclusive title, it does make it a ‘console exclusive’ game, if that makes sense.

The Street Fighter is one of the most popular fighting series ever, and it’s no surprise that Sony would like to take advantage of its reputation for marketing purposes. The makers of the PS4 are going to use a new type of branding on the Street Fighter V copies once the game comes out.

The cover image found on Best Buy shows that the game from Capcom will be the first title toe branded with the ‘PlayStation 4 Console Exclusive Game.’

This type of branding and marketing has been seen before in various forms, but this is the first time Sony will push its console exclusivity on titles as much as possible to gain an edge after a disappointing 2015 as far as exclusive were concerned.

Street Fighter V will be released next month on PlayStation 4 and PC in all regions.
