Konami Divided Over Metal Gear Online League Closure, What is Happening?

Metal Gear Online

Over the past a year or so, Konami has seen nothing but bad press for their decisions regarding Metal Gear Solid V, creator Hideo Kojima, and focusing on video games themed gambling machines.

Contradicting statements and changing stances have become a norm for the company. Now, it looks like the company’s social media channels, specifically Twitter, is divided over the closure of Metal Gear Online League. At one hand, MGOL Twitter page officially announced the end of it, but on the other other, Konami says it was a malicious Tweet.

The original Tweet was posted by the official Metal Gear Online League page and it is still there after almost 24 hours. Was the account hacked? It doesn’t seem like it but it is very possible.

Hopefully, things are going to be sorted out soon. We’ll let you know as soon as more details are available regarding the story.
