Gears of War 4 Releases Sooner Than Expected; Fall 2016 Confirmed
Since the past couple of years, a game’s delay sounds so natural to the order that we are mostly not surprised by anything like that. On the other hand, a release date moving up to ship the game earlier appears to be rather rare, especially when you are talking about a game like Gears of War 4.
Nonetheless, Coalition does appear to have used some extra hands in the development of what Microsoft is hoping would be another console seller for them. As a result, the developers are confident that they can release the game a little sooner.
Gears of War 4 was originally announced to have a release date that would land in Holidays 2016 which would have placed it somewhere near the end of the year.
Without explaining how much of a difference this would make exactly, Coalition have revealed in a livestream broadcast today that the game’s release window has been moved to Fall 2016.
Technically, this means the game could be out as early as September or as late as December, but if it had to take as long as December, the developers would not have changed the release window from Holidays 2016.
The news came out of the livestream that was promised beside the Gears of War Pro League Season 1 Final. Although it was expected that the developers will finally reveal the game’s multiplayer at the livestream, it looks like they are going to let OXM do that for them.
Coming back to the news at hand, although the new announcement is also just a window, we think Gears of War 4 is going to be released sometime in October 2016. What do you think?
