By   /   Jan 8, 2016

For those looking forward to buying the new Shovel Knight Amiibo, the good news is that it is available in stores now. As well as the release of the models, updates have been applied to the games.

Yacht Club Games have today announced that the Amiibos are out now, as well as revealing details for US, UK and EU gamers:

US Players: The latest update was made available earlier today on Wii U and 3DS. If you couldn’t download it before, try following the steps in the Update Guide again.

UK Players: The Shovel Knight amiibo has been cleared from customs and should be available at a store near you as of today! Thanks for your patience during those strange times!

All EU Players: The 2.1 update released last month adds amiibo support for Shovel Knight. This update unfortunately introduced a few unexpected problems with the main game. 2.2 fixes these issues and should be rolling out to systems within the next week.

The price of the Amiibo is 12.99 USD, 10.99 GBP, and 14,99 Euros. When the Amiibo is used with the game, the features include:

Deep Customization with Custom Knight!

  • Level up to a max level of 50 by finding treasure!
  • Earn relics in an all new way while uncovering all-new relics, abilities, and powers you never thought possible!
  • Customize the look of your Shovel Knight with cool and crazy cosmetic options!
  • Use your Custom Knight seamlessly between Nintendo 3DS and Wii U!

Cooperative Multiplayer (exclusive to Wii U)!!

  • Join a friend’s Shovel Knight campaign and shovel together!
  • Use your cooperative skills to help each other out along the way!
  • Compete against each other collecting gold and defeating enemies to prove who is the true hero of Shovelry!
  • Play with any combination: two Custom Knights, one Custom Knight/one Classic Knight, or 2 Classic Knights.
