Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 Open Beta To Begin Next Week

Popcap announced today that their much awaited title Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 will have an Open Beta a short while later this month.

The Open Beta will take place on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, beginning January 14. The Open Beta will last till January 18. Players participating will be able to try out maps like the low gravity Moon Base Z and the snowy Frosty Creek.

There will also be six new playable character classes: Rose, Citron, and Kernel Corn from the Plants; and Imp, Super Brainz, and Captain Deadbeard from the Zombies.

Players will also have the option of classic and new modes, and have limited access to the Backyard Battleground, the latter being a mode that connects players to every map and mode.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is a direct sequel to 2014’s Plants vs. Zombies. The game was hailed as a success, and praised for its awesome characters, fun gameplay, and fantastic design.

The sequel is expected to release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 23.
