Far Cry Primal

It seems strange that Far Cry: Primal is out February 23 and PC March 1st. In fact, the release is close enough for the system requirements for the PC version to be released by Ubisoft.

The games company released the details on their blog, revealing the minimum and recommended specs:

MINIMUM

Supported OS
Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)

Processor
Intel Core i3-550 | AMD Phenom II X4 955 or equivalent

RAM
4GB

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1GB VRAM) | AMD Radeon HD 5770 (1GB VRAM) or equivalent

Hard Disk Space
20 GB

Peripherals
Windows-compatible keyboard, mouse, optional controller

RECOMMENDED

Supported OS
Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)

Processor
Intel Core i7-2600K | AMD FX-8350 or equivalent

RAM
8GB

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 | AMD Radeon R9 280X or equivalent

Hard Disk Space
20 GB

Peripherals
Windows-compatible keyboard, mouse, optional controller

As is expected the minimum specifications aren’t that high, though the graphics detail also won’t be that impressive on that spec. Looking at the recommended ones though, the hardware the game is asking for his fairly high-spec. With an i7 or AMD FX-8350 these are fairly powerful machines. The graphics card shouldn’t be a problem though.

With Ubisoft taking Far Cry back to “Primal” times it will be interesting to see what the main goal of the game will be. The new interactions between protagonist and his animal friends is interesting though, and it looks like there will be more of a focus on hunting this time.
