Xbox Live Service Having Issues, with “Limited” Service
Only days after the PlayStation Network going down it looks like Xbox Live is now having a few issues. While it hasn’t gone down all together, and may just be a glitch it looks like people are starting to have issues.
Looking on Reddit people are commenting on issues that they are having playing games and connecting to Xbox Live as well as other Microsoft services. Looking at the Xbox Live status page there does appear to be limited access to “Purchase and Content Usage” with the latest update being:
“We know you’re having difficulty purchasing subscriptions and playing content that you’ve purchased, and our engineers are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience while we sort it out, Xbox members. We’ll update you as soon as there’s new information.”
The page states that this problem should only be affecting making purchases on Xbox Live, but looking at the comments from some users the problem does appear to be a bigger problem. Once again this is putting online services into question.
What we do know right now is that the problem appears not to be as bad as the one suffered by PlayStation. This of course could change with the length of time Xbox Live is down. Chances are by the time this has been written the service could be up again and everything will be fine.
For now we’ll keep an eye on how Xbox Live is doing and see when it comes back online. Hopefully it won’t take long.
