The Division Listed as Available for Steam Pre-loading in March

The Division servers are down

With the hype building up around The Division the signs are looking good that Ubisoft are confident about releasing the game on time. Further proof of this may have come in the form of some of the latest updates to Steam.

According to the SteamDB The Division will be up on Steam on March 1, 2016. This will be for pre-loading in preparation for the full release. Just the fact that there will be pre-loading of the game will obviously be good news to players who tend to hate having to download all the files on release day.

What we do have to be aware of is the case that this date may well be a placeholder for Steam. This was the case with Rise of the Tomb Raider which has now had a confirmed release. Even as a placeholder though it still shows that a March release looks to be safe for The Division that has seen plenty of delays in the past.

In another interesting move for those wanting to take part in the Beta of The Division, you can sign up now. As always people who have pre-ordered the game will have preferential treatment but it doesn’t seem to be blocking other people from signing up too though.

As we get closer to the official release of the game and the Beta testing takes place, it will be interesting to see what the response from gamers will be. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and we’ll finally get The Division released and all the jokes about seeing it at another E3 can end.
