Fans of UFC have been eager to find out the release date of EA Sports UFC 2, and today it has finally been revealed. As well as revealing the release date, EA have also released a new cinematic trailer that you can see above.

EA have announced that EA Sports UFC 2 will be released March 15, 2016. They also confirmed that Conor McGregor will be the cover athlete for the game alongside Ronda Rousey.

“Whether fans want to play upcoming cards, recreate the outcome of recent fights, or go back to fight with MMA legends, we’ll help them do that in the most authentic and exciting way ever in an MMA simulation,” said Brian Hayes, Creative Director. “Our first two pre-order fighters, Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba are perfect additions to what is already the biggest roster ever for an official UFC game. Adding them is huge, and fans are going to go nuts when we reveal who the mystery fighter is. I can’t wait.”

In the new trailer Conor McGregor is shown in action, and gamers are given a glimpse of the all-new Knockout Physics System, as well as Dynamic Grappling, and Next-Level Submissions. The trailer also showed off some of the action from some of the big fights that have taken place over the last few months. This includes the shock defeat of Rousey, and McGregor’s big fight that put him on front of the cover.

For those who pre-order the game they will get access to UFC Hall of Famer Bas Rutten, and Japanese MMA Legend “The Gracie Hunter” Kazushi Sakuraba. A mystery fighter yet to be revealed will also be made available. A deluxe edition of the game will also include up to $60 of UFC Ultimate Team Premium Packs. US Pre-orders can be done through the EA Sports website.
