ARK: Survival Evolved Downloaded More than 1 Million Times on Xbox One
ARK: Survival Evolved has caught plenty of interest on Early Access on the PC, but it appears that is on console where it is gaining more fans. With the release on Xbox One on December 16, it has been downloaded over 1 million times.
In an update posted by Xbox it has been revealed that the game has not only been downloaded over 1 million times, but that 200,000 real-life days combined have been played on the Xbox One version of the game. With this being one of the first multiplayer survival games to be released on Xbox One it shows that there are plenty of fans wanting these types of games.
Revealing that the plan at the moment is to keep on updating the Xbox One version of ARK every two weeks for the remaining 7 months until its release, they are looking for community feedback on what to add next. This includes split-screen support, gamepad customisation and UI improvements.
An interesting addition that has been hinted at is the coming of Kangaroos to the game. These will feature a pouch that can hold up to two people. With that, and the promise to keep the game up to date with the PC version of the game, it looks like there are good things to come for fans of ARK: Survival Evolved.
With the popularity of ARK: Survival Evolved, it will be interesting to see if any other survival games will make their way not only onto Xbox One, but also PlayStation 4. With plenty on offer currently available on the PC, there will be a few developers watching this game’s success with interest.
