Uncharted 4 Delayed Again; Naughty Dog Needs More Time
It looks like a never ending series of disappointments that started a couple of years ago, its like something that every game developer tries to carry forward like tradition now. Any how, Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End has been delayed again!
However, this time they are not making us wait for yet another year, Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed only moments ago that the game will now come out on April 27, 2016.
According to the official word, Naughty Dog needs “a few more weeks to deliver the largest Uncharted ever.”
Bruce Straley & Neil Druckmann, the directors of Naughty Dog, made the joint announcement on the official PlayStation EU Blog saying:
This is our largest Uncharted, and the team has been working incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game’s development in a timely manner. However, as we started to approach our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realised that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line.
The upside to this is that the developer are now “wrapping up production” for Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End and they are promising to meet your expectations of a “proper send off for Nathan Drake.” However, it still needs more effort which is going to be put into making the game reach Naughty Dog’s own standards and vision.
As many of you would be wanting it, the developers have also issued an apology saying “we hope you’ll accept our sincere apology. We know many of you have been waiting patiently for Nathan Drake’s final chapter, and now we humbly ask you to wait a bit longer.”
In all honesty, since we have waited for so long to get our hands on Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End, another month and a half is not going to be too hard although mismanaged release schedules and premature promises are two problems that seriously need to be stopped now.
The game now releases in North America on April 26, in the European Union on April 27 and finally in the UK on April 29.
