God Eater Resurrection Trademarked for West by Bandai Namco
Bandai Namco Entertainment released God Eater Resurrection in October this year, however, the remake did not make it westward. Now, it looks like the publishers are going to do something about that.
A new trademark was registered for the game with the Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM). Without officially revealing it, Bandai has all but confirmed what their next gig is going to be about.
It is also being speculated that the “Mysterious Game” that they have been teasing about since yesterday could turn out to be this one.
Although a number of gamers will be disappointed that it is a remake’s western release that they have been teasing with a website and so many clues, it is a fact that at least one of those clues is referring directly to God Eater Resurrection.
When Bandai Namco Entertainment teased the “Mysterious Game” through their official Twitter, they accompanied it with a line that read “can you feel the hunger,” which is becoming all the more clearer now.
Coming back to the news at hand, Bandai filed for the trademark yesterday i.e. the same day on which they started teasing their next release.
It cannot one big coincidence, can it?
As far as God Eater Resurrection is concerned, it is the latest release in the God Eater series despite not being a completely new game. With this release, Shift has remade the original enhanced remake of the first game in the series, God Eater Burst.
Resurrection has enhanced graphics, some new gameplay elements (alongside those included in God Eater 2 and God Eater 2 Rage Burst), for instance there is the Predator Style feature that literally lets you eat the enemy in a go. It also has some additions to story that bridge the gap between God Eater 2 and God Eater Burst.
