New Games Added to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility but What About Call of Duty?
Xbox today revealed a number of games released on Xbox One through Backwards Compatibility. What is interesting though are the ones that haven’t made it onto the list yet, but are still teased.
When revealing the games on the Xbox site they revealed some interesting titles including Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fable III, Halo: Reach, Kane & Lynch 2 and some others. Those waiting for Call of Duty: Black Ops though will notice that it wasn’t included on the list.
Scrolling down the list though the Call of Duty game, as well as a few others are advertised under “Even more favorite titles coming each month”:
- Skate 3
- Bioshock 2
- Bioshock Infinite
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Halo Wars
These are arguably some of the bigger titles coming to Backwards Compatibility, and the fact that they’ve not been released in this latest update will come as a disappointment to many. We’ll have to see if these make it at a later date.
It will be interesting to see when Call of Duty: Black Ops makes it onto Xbox One through the Backwards Compatibility service, because it may be a sign that some of the other Call of Duty titles will also be released too. For not it seems that it is stuck on the “coming soon” list along with the Bioshock games which are similarly popular titles.
We’ll have to keep an eye on if Xbox release these soon, and also if there is some reason for the hold up. Could it be problems with Activision not wanting to allow their titles onto the service just yet?
