Heroes of the Storm Patch Adds Lunara to Roster, Fixes Matchmaking Issues

By   /   Dec 16, 2015

Blizzard continues to expand its growing roster of heroes and villains in its multiplayer online battle arena game Heroes of the Storm.

The newest addition is Lunara, who had been teased various times in the past. Lunara will be finally added to the roster through this week’s patch. The character, like various others in Heroes of the Storm, is from Blizzard’s World of Warcraft universe.

The patch will also bring fixes to matchmaking, which has caused persistent problems in the game and have been the community’s top ranked issue for a while now. Now, teams without a Warrior will no longer be matched up with teams that have one.

This should definitely balance out the game, as the Warrior’s influence in the arena can greatly unbalance the entire match.

Blizzard is definitely going against its own statement about avoiding such simplistic rules to balance matchmaking, but they believe it is the right thing to do in this case, and that it works well, according to lead designer Dustin Browder.

In addition to these two major additions, the patch comes with a host of bug fixes, balance adjustments, price reductions, new bundles, and more. You can read the full official notes here.
