Uncharted 4 Open Beta is Not Planned, Says Naughty Dog
A couple of days ago an Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End Multiplayer Beta Contest was started by Naughty Dog and in order to announce that, they made a post on the official PlayStation US Blog.
The Director of Communications at Naughty Dog, Arne Meyer, was the one who announced the contest and luckily for us, also answered a number of questions posed by the fans in the comments section.
In one of those comments, a fan asked whether the developers had any plans regarding Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End open beta for the future. However, Meyer’s two worded reply was “no plans.”
So there you have it, Naughty Dog is only going to test the game through closed beta testing phases, the rest of the fans are not going to be able to play it before the game’s official release in March next year.
Since the developers have already given a number of players the chance to help them test it out, we think that the decision to skip an open beta came after they had figured out there is no need for it from the development point of view.
However, Meyer did not give any more details.
In parallel news, the developers had also revealed that although the game is bound to have a good enough dialogue system, the dialogues will not be too prevalent in the gameplay. This also means a lot lesser cut scenes, maybe. You can read up on this here.
It was also revealed on the same day that Naughty Dog is going to honor the efforts made by Amy Hennig in the making of the game.
The game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that is going to hit the racks worldwide on March 18, 2016.
