Players Report Matchmaking Problems on Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Beta
People are now playing the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Multiplayer Beta and it will probably come as no surprise that there are some issues. With this one it seems to be around the matchmaking screens.
To see the problem that people are facing right now you just have to look on user forums like Neogaf with one player, forum user idonteven posting:
“ok now its starting to get sad…almost 80 mins without a match found”
Though others are having little issue finding one as user xxracerxx posted:
“Curious why some are having a hard time getting a match while others (like me) are having no issues. It may take a few minutes on my side, but otherwise pretty smooth sailing.”
This is typical for a beta that has just started, and if Naughty Dog are aware of the problems they will no doubt be working on a fix for the people who are encountering the issue. Hopefully it won’t be an issue like the Rainbow Six: Siege beta which saw it being postponed.
While this is annoying, especially as people have in theory paid to be on this beta, users still have to remember that this is a test environment where developers are looking for issues like this to appear. Obviously stress on the server will slow down not only the game but also finding open matches for players to take part in.
With European players getting access to the game today, they will be the first to encounter this problem. I myself will be taking a look at it later today to see how it is holding up, and see what gameplay is like. So far I’ve only had time to try out the introduction, which appears to be playing fine at least.
