Platinum Games are Working on a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game
After Platinum Games worked on Transformers: Devastation, many fans hoped that they could do the same with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It appears that they may be getting just what they want, if the new ratings news is true.
Revealed on the Australian Classification Board’s rating database it appears that the game will be called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan. The rating of M for violence means that the game is recommended for people over the age of 15.
Fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be hoping that Platinum Games will focus on the old school eighties version of the Ninja Turtles and not on the Michael Bay produced movie which was less successful. As we don’t know much about the game as of yet though it could be based on the many versions of the Heroes in a Half-Shell.
Transformers: Devastation also by Platinum Games was given a similar M rating for its Australian release, so this is still a good sign that the game will feature the turtles in an older form. While adults may want to see this version, we also have to remember that there are several generations of the cartoon as well as the comics that the game could also use for the game.
Platinum Games will be looking to create a game that will create the most interest. We’ll just have to see which version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the most interesting to gamers that fit the mature rating of the game.
