By   /   Nov 25, 2015

December is almost upon us and with Xbox revealing their Games with Gold yesterday it’s no surprise that PlayStation have revealed their PlayStation Plus games. With it being the last month of the year, and Christmas you would hope that they ended the year with a bang.

The games that will be coming to PlayStation Plus for December are:

  • Gauntlet: Slayer Edition (PS4)
  • King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember (PS4)
  • Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (PS3)
  • SSX (PS3)
  • Rocketbirds Hardboilded (PS Vita)
  • Freedom Wars (PS Vita)

While Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember aren’t bad games, they aren’t exactly big titles. Also with November’s selection including a full season of The Walking Dead Season 2, it seems a little strange that King’s Quest is provided with only one chapter.

This being the case, if you’ve not played the first chapter of King’s Quest yet, this does give you the perfect chance to give it a go before Chapter 2 heads our way. Gauntlet: Slayer’s Edition is also a fairly solid title you’ll get some fun from.

For PlayStation 3 owners it’s fair to say the titles are a little more impressive. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon was a fairly good spin-off, and SSX is a fun snowboarding game from a series that has always delivered. On the Vita players will also get Rocketbird: Hardboiled, with the more interesting title being Freedom Wars.

While these are free games and it is easy to think that we should be just happy we’ve been given them, there is also the fact that Xbox players appear to have the better deal this month. Add on the fact all the titles with the Games with Gold are playable through Backwards Compatibility and that deal seems a lot better.
