Clannad Visual Novel Briefly Outsold Black Ops 3, GTA V on Steam
Back in April 2004, Clannad was released on PC and was later made available on consoles and even portable devices. It was a visual novel and the story a character named Tomoya Okazak from high to his adult life, he meets many people and help solve their problems.
Gameplay on the other hand had a branching plot line with different dialogues and their outcome. It was an enjoyable and engaging experience overall.
The english version of the game was released recently on Steam and for a brief period of time, the game managed to outsell Black Ops 3, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and even Grand Theft Auto V on Valve’s platform.
It was a brief moment of glory which is not entirely over. At the time of this writing, the game is still outselling Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on Steam, while GTA V has once again gone past it. Clannad is at No. 4 on the Steam top sellers.
This doesn’t mean that Clannad is selling millions of copies, Steam only calculates percentage of new buyers for its Top Sellers. GTA V and Black Ops 3 has sold millions of copies on Steam, while Clannad has sold around 2000 copies, according to stats gathered from Steamspy.
