Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow Could Cost $10 on Nintendo 3DS
We know that Nintendo is planning to make these classic Game Boy titles available to their latest handheld i.e. Nintendo 3DS. We also know that they are going too do this exactly 20 years after the original release of the games, however, what we don’t know officially is the price of the titles.
On that front, Amazon has again come up with an earlier than expected reveal. A listing for the Pokemon Red appeared on the retailer website where it was listed for release too Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console on February 27, 2016.
However, much more importantly, it was priced at $9.99.
For those of you who do not know, Game Boy titles that are released like this cost $3.99, and the 10 bucks price tag is more than double of that.
Nonetheless, this is not the official price of Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow since it did not come out of Nintendo itself. But it should be kept in mind that Amazon listings often turn out to be true.
That being said, it was confirmed a couple of days ago that all three classic Game Boy titles will make it too Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console alongside online functionality. You can read up on all that here.
Nintendo has officially confirmed that Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow are going to be released on February 27, 2016.
