Fallout 4 Had a Very Impressive Launch Shipping Over 12 Million Units
It will come as no surprise that Fallout 4 has had a successful launch, though now they’ve revealed the actual numbers it is even more impressive than expected. Along with Call of Duty’s success November is turning into a very good month for games releases.
Bethesda have revealed that on the first day of sales they managed to ship over 12 million units which all together comes to around $750 million. The company claim this makes it the fastest-selling game in history for leading retailers.
Vlatko Andonov, the President of Bethesda commented on the release:
“We’re extremely proud of Todd Howard, Game Director at Bethesda Game Studios, and his experienced team of developers for their talent and dedication in creating this extraordinary game. Fallout 4 is a masterpiece in game development and storytelling, providing fans hundreds of hours of fun as they explore and are challenged by this fascinating, beautifully crafted world.”
With Tom Howard adding:
“A huge thanks to our fans that’ve made this all possible. After four years of development, it’s not complete until our fans get to play it and make it their own. We can’t wait to hear about their adventures.”
With the huge hype surrounding the game it comes as no surprise that Fallout 4 has done so well. It may not have lived up to the expectations that people had for it, but for the most part it delivers on its promises and is a good game (in my opinion).
