Mass Effect Andromeda Deserves a Chance Even Without Shepard
We know that the story of Commander Shepard has ended with the last Mass Effect; when Mass Effect Andromeda releases it is going to bring you a completely new protagonist as well as a new story.
This did not sit well with some of the longstanding fans of the series because they believe Mass Effect is about Shepard, just like this Twitter user lamented to Bioware saying the game “without Shepard will be like Bourne Legacy without Jason Bourne.”
However, it is the reply that he got from Bioware that interests me, the developer said:
Give us a chance to change your mind. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
We understand how everyone connects with Shepard and thinks that there is no point of making Mass Effect Andromeda if it doesn’t have him – some say it should be a new game altogether.
Now the point here is that, the developers should be given the chance to change things up every once in a while. We have all seen parts of the community complaining that many game developers create on formula that clicks and then continue using the same formula in all the games just to keep selling.
Undoubtedly, this removes the element of freshness from the game – at least to some level – and in these cases, people urge the developers to do something new and try something else.
Whereas, when Bioware is trying to do just that with the Mass Effect series, a number of fans don’t like the idea.
Don’t you think it would be better if they are given the chance to do what they have been working on so hard for so long and then see if we like it or hate it?
Mass Effect Andromeda is going to be one of the biggest releases when it comes to it, and we should not forget that these are the same guys who made the last three games in the series so good.
